Fruitty Blog: Photo Speak: Christ the king celebration At Otukpo...

The Christ the king celebration for the year 2016 in Otukpo Benue State was in fact one with a large population of over a 100000 people which came from all the parishes in the Otukpo axis ofBenue State, the parishes that made up this enormous number of people came from St Francis Cathedral, St Anthony Parish, St Mary Parish, St Jude Parish, Divine Mercy Church Ampia and other neighboring catholic church around the Otukpo axis.
The Christ the king celebration started from Divine Mercy Churh Ampia in Otukpo and ended at St Francis Cathedral in Otukpo, the whole celebration stated after 2 pm in the afternoon and ended after 6 pm in the evening, the procession took more than 3 good hours of walking. The celebration involved the partaking of both the young and old all praising and thanking Jesus Christ as they celebrate the Christ the king day.
However the Christ the king celebration was in deed a successful one because there was no record of casualty as the case may be, and also the presence of the police really helped a long way in making the masses maintain law and order during the procession of the Christ the king celebration inOtukpo.
